Vincent "Skip" Horten, Jr., 75, of Wickliffe, Ohio, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Lake West Medical Center.
Skip was born June 7, 1948, in East Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Vincent and Josephine (Shortridge) Horten. After graduation, he honorably served in the US Marine Corps from September 19, 1966 to July 4, 1970 as an MP during the Vietnam War. Later, he received his Hearing Aid Certification and worked many years as a manager at US Lighting. In addition, he enjoyed traveling while working as a sound mixer for multiple bands. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing and volunteering for Hospice.
Skip is survived by his siblings, Deb Bias, Jeff (Kathleen) Horten, Greg (Sharon) Horten, Lisa Horten (Bruce Fulmer), and Kevin Horten.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Josephine (Shortridge) Horten; daughter, Courtney Carroll in 2022; grandson, Eric Keita in 1997.
At his request, there will be no service.
