Walter N. Asuma "Walt", age 83, of Geneva, passed away on Wednesday April 21st at his daughter's home with his family by his side. Born in Painesville, Ohio on November 19th, 1937 to parents Andrew W. and Sadie Asuma. Walt was a 1956 graduate of Fairport Harding High School and then a decade later married his sweetheart Rosemary Williams on August 27th, 1966. He was a Merchant Mariner from 1958-1963, and he also worked at Triax, DeMagg, and Truckmen before retiring in 2019. In his younger years, Walt was a member of the Sly Fox Motorcycle Club. He also enjoyed fishing and boating in his free time. Walt was a member of New Life Assembly of God Church in Geneva. Walt is survived by his loving wife; Rosemary (Williams) Asuma, his children; Daniel Asuma of California, and Lisa (Marty) Riley of Geneva. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren; Marissa Asuma-Bardy, Jessica Asuma-Bardy, Sienna Amber Brown and Sawyer Jackson Brown of San Diego, CA., and Mile Aries Perkins and Greyson Michael Asuma-Bardy of Mentor, OH. Walt is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Richard Lee Asuma (1974). A Memorial Service will be held on May 1st at 11:00am at New Life Assembly of God Church, 1961 Le Fevre Rd., Geneva, OH.
