Wendy Clark, age 75, of Lyndhurst, Ohio, passed away at HMC Hospice of Medina County on Thursday, January 15, 2026, after a brief but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1950 to Salvatore (Sam) and Ann Scaparotti (née Svray), Wendy was the eldest of five children. She attended schools throughout the Cleveland suburbs before starting a family and pursuing a long, successful career in cosmetology. With a pair of scissors, a comb, and a sharp eye for making people look and feel their best, she built a career that spanned five decades. Wendy went on to open and operate two premier salons in New York City, launch a luxury beauty brand in Boca Raton, Florida, and manage multiple business ventures across the country.
In 2020, Wendy returned to her hometown to be closer to her family—her greatest source of strength and her life's true center.
Wendy was preceded in death by her parents, Salvatore and Ann; her brother Ricardo (Ricky) Scaparotti; and her second husband, Wayne V. Clark, the father of her children. She is lovingly remembered by her siblings Michael Scaparotti, Sandra Otterman (née Scaparotti), and Sam Scaparotti; her children Richard and Nicole Clark; her three grandchildren; her nieces and nephew; many cousins; and her devoted partner of 25 years, Joel Grossman, originally of Brooklyn, New York.
A celebration of Wendy's life will be held at a later date to be announced by her family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to The Lustgarten Foundation for pancreatic cancer research online at
