William Dunbar's Obituary
Memorial Services for William E. Dunbar, 69, of Mentor, will be at 3 p.m. (Doors open at 2 p.m.) Saturday, January 6, 2024, at La Malfa, 5783 Heisley Rd., Mentor, OH 44060. His brother-in-law, Dennis Cole, will officiate the service. The service can also be viewed on Zoom beginning at 2:30pm at the following link, ID: 893 3061 8392

William "Bill" Dunbar died on December 25, 2023 at Lantern of Saybrook surrounded by his family. Bill was born on July 25, 1954 in Cleveland, OH to Ralph and Dorothy Dunbar.
Bill married his wife, Beverly, on June 16, 1975. Shortly after, he adopted Beverly's children Laura, Butch, and Carrie whom he loved as his own and you would not know otherwise. Additionally, Bill and Beverly went on to have 2 children together, Julie and Staci. Bill retired as a Principal Quality Engineer at Swagelok after 34 years in 2015.
Bill was an active devoted elder of the Mentor Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. He enjoyed spending time with his family the most. He also loved dancing, fishing, walking at the Holden Arboretum, and playing cards.
Survivors are his wife, Beverly Dunbar (Oblak) of Mentor, OH; children, Laura (Brian) McBirney of Madison, OH, Carrie (Scott) McBirney of Las Vegas, NV, Julie Intihar of Madison, OH, and Staci Dunbar of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Leah (Patrick) Lama of Las Vegas, NV, Hannah McBirney of Las Vegas, NV, Vincent Intihar of Las Vegas, NV, Jacob Intihar of Madison, OH, and Zachary Intihar of Madison, OH; great-grandchild, Liam Intihar of Las Vegas, NV; siblings, Timothy (Lolly) Dunbar of Wellington, OH, Richard Dunbar of Summerville, SC, Mark (Nancy) Dunbar of Green Township, OH, Robin (Dennis) Cole of Geneva, OH, Donna (Dan) Fisher of Painesville, OH, Scott Dunbar of Summerville, SC, and sister-in-law; Sharon (Roger) Dunbar. He additionally leaves many nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his sister Barbara Dunbar, son William "Butch" Dunbar, brother Ralph "Roger" Dunbar, and his parents Ralph and Dorothy Dunbar.
Private family burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 7642 Chillicothe Rd., Mentor, 44060, or Lantern of Saybrook, 3720 North Ridge Rd., Ashtabula, OH 44004.
Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
