William G. "Bill" Howes, 84, of Kingsville, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 29, 2023.
Bill was born December 9, 1938 in Geneva, Ohio the son of Durward and Ann (Foy) Howes. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Kingsville.
Bill loved the outdoors and as a young teenager ran a tap-line selling the furs to buy his first bicycle. He attended Madison Memorial High School and joined the U.S. Army at 17 and proudly served from 1955-1958 as a Paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division. Bill received his high school diploma from the Griswold Institute in Cleveland while employed at Fullerton & Kerr Surveying. Later, during his 25-year employment with C.E.I. Engineering Department, he earned his Registered Land Surveyor license and after retirement owned and operated Bill Howes Land Surveying.
Bill met the love of his life, Jenny Davidson, in the 7th grade and later married her on December 9, 1959.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Lou Howes; brothers, Francis Howes, Alfred Calderon, and Everett Pitzer Jr.; sister-in-law, Joanie Follett; brother-in-law, John Davidson.
He is survived by his wife, Jenny Howes of Kingsville; son, Bill Howes Jr. of Kingsville; daughters, Suzanne O'Connor and Sally Walker both of Michigan; brothers, James (Betty) Monday of Ohio, and Matthew Calderon of Florida; sisters, Ann (Rich) LaDow of Florida, Dolores Ross of Cleveland, and Mary (Steve) Manilla of Texas.
Private services to be held at a later date.
