We recently lost two family members and so thankful we chose Lake Erie cremation & Funeral services. The facility is so nice and doesn’t necessarily feel like a typical funeral home. The owners were very pleasant and didn’t make you feel rushed to make a decision. Very affordable and exactly what we wanted. Thank you again for taking such great care of our loved ones.

This review is long overdue, since January 20th, when my husband passed away, Danielle and Jeff have continued to help me and my family through so many difficult decisions. When my husband passed away, I was told that the hospital will contact the funeral home. I didnt hear from anyone all day and I desperately needed to know where he was. I called Jeff and Danielle on a Sunday morning and found out that the hospital had not contacted them. They dropped everything they were doing and drove to Willoughby to pick up my husband. They sent me a text to let me know that they had him. If you have ever had to leave a loved one, after they have passed away, you know how difficult it is to walk away and leave them. I made so many telephone calls to Danielle, asking if they could make him presentable for a viewing. She assured me that Keith would look like he was sleeping and at peace. When we viewed him for the first time, we were immediately relieved that he was in a clean gown, white crisp sheet over him, shaved and they even put make up on his bruised face from a bad fall. Danielle had flowers and a candle lit. He looked so peaceful. Keith was going to be cremated, which they also explained the process and made it comforting to be able to be there during the cremation. Danielle walked us through the entire funeral process; never once did we feel pressured or obligated to buy anything. The funeral service was beautiful and we had a lot of compliments how nice the service was. The complete service was much less than what I expected. Danielle designed the monument for us, which is beautiful. The cost of the monument was half of what I thought it would be. Her and Jeff worked very hard to have the monument delivered and set, the day before the burial on June 1, 2024. It was a complete surprise to us and I can't tell you how much that meant to our family. Danielle and Jeff are the most caring and sympathetic people I have ever done business with. They pay attention to detail, their work is high quality and they are honestly the best funeral home in AshtabulaCounty, with reasonable charges. If you need to pre-plan your funeral and don't know what to do or where to even begin, please call them. I promise you will not be disappointed. We didn't have a prepaid funeral. It was on our list of things to do, but never follwed through, mainly because we didn't know where to begin. When your loved one passes away, the first question they will ask is, "what funeral home do you want us to call?". I needed someone I could trust and that's when I thought of Lake Erie Cremation. Jeff and Danielle will ease your anxiety and grief by their caring process. Danielle has the voice of an angel and was meant to be in this line of work. Danielle and Jeff treat you like family. Thank you, Danielle and Jeff and your staff for making everything so perfect for my Keith. You are the best and I will never forget how well you took care of Keith, myself and our family. We are so thankful for the help and understanding that “Lake Erie Cremation & Funeral Services” gave to us. Living in Tennessee, we had to travel up to Ohio to deal with our lost. They were so helpful setting up and arranging the whole process of getting closure to this unexpected event, and for us to be able to begin the grieving process. My father passed away unexpectedly recently and the coroner referred us to Lake Erie Cremation. Jeff and Danielle along with their staff did an amazing job. Everyone was very helpful, caring, and made everything easy to understand. I had never had to be the one to plan for final services before and they were very knowledgeable about that as well as questions that did not even pertain to their services such as legal and procedural information we would have to look into. They treated us like family and were there every step of the way, even after. They also were very quick, helped to write a beautiful obituary, and have good prices for people like us who did not have insurance or expect this to happen any time soon. I would highly recommend Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services. I could probably name a million other reasons of things they did and for the situation we found ourselves in, it was overall a positive experience with their help.

My family and I lost my sister in November of 2023 to cancer. She had mentioned Lake Erie Cremation in conversation but we had no arrangements made. When that dreaded day came, of her passing the hospice nurse called Lake Erie Cremation on our behalf and told us when we were ready for them to come and pick up my sister they would arrive about 30 minutes after we made the call. They said there was no rush. The family gathered around and said there good byes. We kept her at the house for quite some time. We all knew it would the last time with her at my parents house and the family gathered around her.We made the call and Jeff and his assistant came to the house. They never rushed us they took their time and explained what to expect. They never even asked for any type of payment. The next day we went to the funeral home to make arrangements.We didn’t know if we wanted cremation or burial. Danielle took the time and explained and gave us a price on both options. There were no added on features. One price with everything included.She showed us around the building. It was bright, clean and beautiful . The sunshine was beautiful coming in through the windows. it made us realize we were making the right decision to have my dear sister taken care of by Jeff and Danielle. While we were there Danielle asked if we would like to see Kathy. Jeff brought her out, on a gurney she had a hospital gown on and a crisp white sheet draped over her. Jeff and Danielle went above and beyond that day. I lost my sister the day before but I believe I made a friend in meeting both Jeff and Danielle. They made the hardest day of my parents life to bury their child with comfort and ease. I will forever be grateful to Lake Erie Cremation & Funeral Services.

I personally would give this funeral home, five out of five stars, great staff! I went in there to set up a funeral arrangement for my mom, they were very very helpful and super nice! Went over everything with me. Everything went very smooth with the whole process. My mom passed away a week later, and they are on top of everything. Not much more I can really say, but they are just amazing people.

From the first call my worries were quickly calmed. Prearranging for my loved one was made easy. Terms I could understand, realistic pricing to meet his needs and honor his wishes. I was even able to purchase the stone with Paige’s help (no additional running around). As a result of the excellent service received I moved my prearrangements to Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services. Truly I can’t say enough, thank you for all you do. Top notch in your field.

I was very close to my uncle, who passed away suddenly. I contacted several funeral homes and crematoriums trying to find the service our family wanted at an acceptable price. Lake Erie Cramation had the best price, and they even layed his body in a casket for a viewing prior to cremation free of charge, and allowed us time to mourn and say goodbye. We didn't expect that at all. I unexpectedly recieved a Christmas ornament with my uncle on it in the mail. They handled his remains with respect and promptly took care of the entire process of retrieving his remains. Thank you Lake Erie Cremation.

What a wonderful sense of support to have Jeff & Danielle in our corner during the loss of our Mom. They assisted us 18 months earlier when we lost our Dad so we knew without hesitation we wanted to lean on them again. They do everything in their power to assure that every want and need from the family is met during the planning stages. They are very cognizant of cost and gently bring the topic of costs to the table to assure the family has options that meet their needs and stay withing their budget. Our Mom loved a hard-to-find flower, and the florist didn't have that option available. Danielle drove to Cleveland, found and purchased a plant so the flower could be included in the arrangement and then gifted the plant to the family. They remain fully present, attentive and supportive during the services. They are also extremely thoughtful and respectfully reach out throughout the year at special times (birthdays, holidays, etc.) to offer support. We offer our grateful appreciation and our recommendation for Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services. Thank you Jeff & Danielle for all you do.

Lake Erie handled all of the arrangements for a loved one we had to funeralize remotely. From the moment I made the first call to the funeral home, the staff attended to our every need. Jeff understood our budget and was forthright with costs, ensuring the deceased was put away nicely. Jeff stayed in constant communication with us and always took care to explain things in detail, which was so important, given we live hundreds of miles away and couldn't be in Ohio in person. He also endured but diplomatically handled our more challenging family members. And if you've ever planned a funeral, then you know what I'm talking About. I can't say enough about Lake Erie. Outstanding customer service, professionalism and integrity!

Covid killed my wife and I was devastated. We just celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary. Friends highly recommended Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services in Geneva, Ohio where they did funeral and cremation preplanning. Danielle, one of the owners, guided us through the cremation process in a loving and caring way and was there for us at every turn answering our questions, and addressing our requests, in a very timely manner. Our family wanted to take a minute to tell everyone how amazing Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services have been to us during this difficult process. In May of this year we unexpectedly had to bring our mother/ mother in law home on hospice. We were lost, confused, emotional and had no idea what we were doing. After 5 short days we had to say goodbye. In such a short amount of time and so much we had to process with everything being so unexpected we had no idea what to do when she had passed, that is when we came across this amazing company. Hospice made the difficult call for us and Jeff was there at our home within 20 minutes ! He got to our house and was so professional and respectful and made such a difficult process so much easier to go through. He gave us all the information we needed at the time but didn’t push all kinds of information that we would not be able to process at that moment with everything happening, he sat with us as if he was just a member of our family there for support. Jeff also made sure our son knew he was going to take care of his grandma and made sure he was seen and heard as every other person would be going through a loss he took the time to actually listen to the stories he had about his grandma and who she was and just made him feel safe and cared for. They aren’t like any other funeral home you would usually deal with . The process was made to be so much easier and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. They were kind, caring, compassionate and actually cared for our family during one of the hardest experiences we had to navigate through. They actually listened to us and didn’t just care about costs or how much money they can get from you they only cared that you were ok and comfortable. We had a private viewing before her cremation and we couldn’t have asked for anything better. Jeff and his team made one of the worst times of stress and emotions and grief go more smoothly than we could ever have imaged. They did a fantastic job she looked absolutely beautiful and at peace and gave us as much time as we needed. We can not say enough good things about them,there are not enough words to express our appreciation. If you are looking for someone to handle your loved ones final wishes please consider them . They aren’t just people they truly become an extension of your family. We originally found out about Lake Erie Cremation through Katie at Silver Fur Recue. At the time we knew that our Cocker Spaniel, Cricket had a short time left with us with us. Lake Erie Cremation allowed us plenty of time to say goodbye to our little girl, which is something you won't get at a Vets office. We were so impressed that when our mother passed, we decided Lake Erie Cremation was the best way to go. We arranged everything ahead of time. One call and they took care of getting my mother's body there and kept us informed every step on the way. All the paperwork was done through them. We needed to do nothing. Jeff and Danielle gave us time to grieve. They also gave us options for headstones which we did purchase. Jeff and Danielle are two of the most caring people we've met and when you lose a loved one, that is the time you need someone to care and help you along the process. We give them 5 stars for their service and attitude and if there were six stars, they would get that.

The tragic and unexpected loss of our beloved 19 year old son was the most difficult experience of our loves. We were completely broken and had no idea what to think do or say. last year my husband and I went Lake Erie Cremation &Funeral Services to preplan our own services. We where so pleased with the care and service we received,, there was never any pressure to upsell us anything just respect for our wishes and our budget. I did not expect to use their services so soon but my husband did pass away unexpectedly. Again they where very helpful and thoughtful through out the process. I take comfort in knowing when my time comes to join my husband I will be taken great care of and my family will have no worries or problems to deal with because of the great service they provide. I cannot say that I have ever experienced a funeral like this one. Everything was just as it should be. Danielle was so caring & compassionate. The food was very good also. My family is so happy that we chose this place. Thank you for your services & providing people something more affordable. We couldn’t have asked for a better day!

Danielle & Jeff are the best! You will be treated with love and respect. Danielle helped me with all the details for my mother in law’s cremation and Celebration of Life. She is an angel who simplified everything and went above and beyond to make the Celebration very personal by facilitating custom forget me not packets, (Mom was an avid gardener). Without us asking, she also brought laminated copies of the obit, and even made a frame-able printout with Mom’s photo and poem that we could display. I cried because we didn't have any printouts of Mom and it was so thoughtful for Danielle to make sure all the little details were handled. They kept us informed every step of the way. We never felt rushed, or wondered if things would happen in time for the event. They made the process easy and do an excellent job. I am so thankful I put my trust in them. They are so very caring.

I cannot imagine that I would use anyone other than Lake Erie. Cremation. They treat you like you were one of their family.They offer full service Funeral packages at a resonable cost and can have something for every budgit. I believe their prices beat all in the area. Jeff and Danielle offer something for every one and are available for all. When my wife passed Jeff arrived to pickup her remains in less than an hour after being summoned by the Hospice nurse at 3:30am. The vehicle used was very attractive and professional looking. Jeff and his associate were also very professional and concerned for the feelings of family members that were present at that time. He made the pick up very calming and would not leave until all present said their last good byes. Who does that? I feel that i now have a new concerned friend that will be there the next time he is needed. Sounds too good to be true doesnt it? I hope that if you have a need for a outstanding funeral director that you might consider Jeff and Danielle and do not get over charged by one of the big name Funeral Homes whose only motive is to see how much you are willing to pay.

I can't express how caring, respectful, and professional the staff is in a way that does them justice. They treat you like family as soon as the first phone call, and they help you through every step of such a painful process with such grace that if I were a Christian, I would swear the entire staff are angels sent from heaven. But, I'm not, so what they are is actually more amazing to me. They're just good people who want to see your loved ones laid to rest with care, love and dignity. They'll never try to upsell you on anything or push you out of your comfort zone. I couldn't have asked for a better group of people to help me say farewell to my Fiance, and when my fur babies go, I have no question I'll be visiting again.

They were very accommodating for our unique situation. They worked with our schedule and kept us updated at every step. We asked for their help on a Monday, met in person on Wednesday to finalize details, and they assisted us in having everything set and ready for Saturday. It’s hard dealing with the passing of a loved one, but even harder trying to plan things unexpectedly with such short notice. Jeff and Danielle are such caring people.

We experienced a rather sudden passing that involved my grandmother. My father and uncle live out of state so many things had to be handled over the phone or through myself and my husband. During one of the darkest storms of my life Danielle and Jeff showed kindness and compassion . Saying goodbye to my sister was one of the hardest things that I've ever had to do but Danielle and Jeff walked us through the process and made it as easy as it possible. As the weeks have passed they have continued to shine their light by checking in and offering support, even remembering my sister's birthday. I highly recommend them not only because of how affordable they are but more importantly how compassionate and caring they are. When your heart is full there are no words to express the gratitude we experienced with an out-of-state funeral, and catering service. Funeral arrangements are never easy or pleasant at the height of grief. Jeff and Danielle not only operate their business with dignity and integrity, but they tenderly hold your heart every step. Every concern is listened to and respected. I laid my mother to rest today and they brought her safely home. A celebration of her life was the most wonderful, enjoyable and relaxing time that we were able to celebrate together and enjoy my family fellowship with the most delicious catering of food. My family is forever grateful, and my mom was honored in the most beautiful way. You don’t feel like it is run like a business because you are treated like family. The Italian food was as authentic as I have ever known. I felt like I was eating in my mom’s kitchen and her presence was so alive.

I met with Danielle and Jeff and I felt like they were family right from the start. They are great people, you will see when you met them. They took the time to explain everything to me. I told them all my wishes upon my death. They asked me questions I never even thought of. The preneed was more simple than what I thought it would be like. Plus the cost was very reasonable and the cost would not go up. I live in Florida and I was concerned how my body would get back to Ohio. Jeff reassured me the price is locked in. I had experience one of the worst things that could ever have happened to you beloved pet. And I was so uneasy about taking my cat to get cremated but I also didn't want to bury her in the ground. We had to say goodbye to our dog, Dodger, in October. Anyone who feels that a pet is a family member knows how difficult that is. Jeff and Danielle are such amazing and genuine people. Jeff walked me through every step of the way pre-planning when my Father's condition took a turn for the worst. When my Father passed they were both so kind and compassionate. My Brothers and I were devastated. Danielle and Jeff gave us all the time we needed at the final viewing to say our goodbyes and assisted us afterwards with purchasing urns and answering any questions we had. They took care of everything. They even sent us all laminated obituaries and followed up with us weeks later to make sure we were all doing ok. Their facility is beautiful and so peaceful. I was caught unprepared when my aunt's body donation was not taken as had been pre arranged. I called a few places for Cremation but could not get a call back. Danielle answered the phone and I instantly knew this was better than any other place I tried to reach in ashtabula County. Kind, courteous, professional, flexible, accommodating are just a few ways I would describe their business. I will have to consider them when my pets cross over the rainbow Bridge. I am quite a bit outside of their service area, but if possible I will make that drive.

During the loss of my Brother in law, our family had to plan something we have never done. We were above grateful for the professional as well caring services by Jeff & Danelle at Lake Erie Crematorium. They called my Sister after the funeral to check on how she was doing, unheard of but greatly appreciated. They went above and beyond in explaining what we need as well as understanding the financial strain on families this may cause. Their services are more than reasonable, yet they are caring. Great services and you CAN NOT beat what they offer in service and caring and PRICE!! My Sister had limited funds and still we were able to have a closure. They also offer services that no other offers, a chapel, banquet room and catering! All under one place! New spin on funeral services!! Way below what others charge you at this difficult time. So glad we found them!

When my father passed away so unexpectedly, my sister and I were a little lost and unsure what to do. We were referred to this business and it was like a blessing from above. Jeff was so helpful with every aspect of the cremation, even providing us a viewing for our dad. He assisted us with cards for the service and had them for us before we left that day. He came in on his day off to accommodate us with picking up our dad because we live about an hour away. They even mailed laminated cards of the obituary. He stayed in contact with us to make sure there was anything else he could do. He isn't in the business of price gouging and his services were more than affordable. I lost my dog maddie in April at 1AM in th morning and didn't know what to do. I called Lake Erie Creamation about ten after 1AM and got a friendly and compassionate person on the other end. He listened to my story and my sobbing all the while calming me and explaining that he would pick her up first thing in morning. He was here when he said and again was very compassionate about our loss and took as much time as we needed to say goodbye. She was returned to us promptly in a special urn with her name. I am so grateful I called them. I will call them again should I have the need. Thank you Jeff and Daniella for caring for a fur baby that was so special to us.

Danielle offered to meet us @ our veterinarian's office after our visit if we wanted her to transport Pooney for us. That was amazing! Jeff was wonderful...I took our beautiful cat of 15 yrs to be cremated..he said he would call within 24- 48 hrs to come pick up his remains...Jeff called a few hours later and said he had completed the cremation & that he was heading out for some business close to where we live & he would be happy to deliver our cats remains to us...We live almost 1/2 hr away...It was so thoughtful of him to think ahead & go the extra mile for us. So rare to see that anymore & so much appreciated. It saved us the trip back to Geneva ...Their facility was beautiful & intimate ..Their pricing was very affordable & fair...We received a charming tin with our cat's ashes & some fur with an imprint of his paw...Truely a wonderful experience during a very sad time. I highly recommend their service & facility for both pets & people!!

Lake Erie Cremation & Funeral Services provided us with support and understanding when we suddenly lost our special Pilgrim female goose named Miracle who passed away suddenly just like her human mom (36yrs) a week why from the 1 year anniversary. Miracle was just over 1 year old. They created prints of her feet and saved some of her feathers so we can create a dream catcher. Thankfully,we have many memories and videos of her, because she was a house goose.

I’m in Cleveland but we were from Ashtabula they made making arrangements so easy, its so beautiful and updated inside, honestly the nicest I’ve seen in the area. What a blessing to have Lake Erie Cremation & Funeral Services to manage my father's funeral. From our initial contact and beyond, Jeff & Danielle were compassionate, thoughtful, caring and professional. During the planning phase Jeff guided us in helping to make sure we kept costs within our budget. We were always granted whatever time we as a family needed, whether it was making decisions or saying good-bye one last time. Consistently and gently, we were made aware that Jeff & Danielle were there to support us in any way we needed. During the visitation and service our needs were addressed before we ourselves recognized that we had a need. I highly recommend Lake Erie Cremation & Funeral Services. My husband wanted to plan his own funeral. He was unable to leave the home. We called Lake Erie Cremation and funeral Home who made everything so easy for us. They came to our home to plan everything. And when the day came that my husband passed, they came and were so considerate and caring. I can’t say enough good things about this funeral home. The facility is very clean. The employees and owners are extremely professional and caring and wonderful to work with. They took their time with me throughout the whole process. And furthermore, their prices are extremely affordable compared to all their competitors. I would highly recommend this business and cannot say enough good about them. Jeff and his very accommodating staff helped with everything my dad, my son, and I needed during the very difficult and stressful time of my mom's passing. He provided comfort and understanding when it was needed most, and explained everything thoroughly. They were very efficient and kind with the arrangements as well. My mom passed late in the evening in Cleveland and Jeff picked her up early the next morning so that she wasn't there longer than she had to be. We also didn't feel pressured or stressed out to have to pay right away. They cremated my father in a very timely manner and was hand delivered by Danielle . In which she is one of the kindest souls on the planet. His remains were packaged in the most respectful way anyone can package them. First impressions with this funeral home was, it was not like a funeral home at all, which I really appreciated. When we walked into the service area, it felt serene and calm and heavenly. Danielle and Jeff were absolutely amazing with the services they provide for my father and I couldn’t give a higher recommendation for this funeral home. They took care of everything and made it as simple as possible on me and my family from the planning of the services to helping with the paperwork not to mention the prices were half of what any other local funeral services were around here. What can I say about "Lake Erie Cremation & Funeral Services"... like FAMILY and FRIENDS that was how my husband, I and Nick's older brother were treated upon our arrival, we just knew we were leaving our son in a kind and loving hands to help him on his new journey to everlasting peace Jeff his wife Danielle, and their staff were so very loving and caring throughout our entire ordeal...you could feel their loving embrace walking through their front door like we were visiting a friend's home. As we were lead into their facility, I walked into their chapel and I saw my son, resting on a pillow, looking as if he was just sleeping and dreaming peacefully. That will be my final MEMORY of our son, Nick. I know it took their love, kindness and gentleness to prepare him to look his very best on his next and final journey... Their isn't enough words to express my gratitude for all Jeff his wife Danielle and their staff's attention to our deceased son, Nick, myself and our family... God Bless... ALSO, our beautiful dog, Maggie passed this August and one again I witnessed the gentleness of which the funeral attendant picked her up and rested her head upon a pillow while petting her head...like I said... we were treated like FAMILY and FRIENDS. My father lived a good long life and at the age of 91 he passed away. Being cremated was what he choose and what he got. So he passed away in at Carrington Park Ashtabula Ohio we’re I would go to every other day for a year or so at different times of the day he loved being there I loved how he was treated so when he passed away there wasn’t a dry eye at Carrington that day. They asked what my wishes were and I told them Lake Erie Crematorium in Geneva On Harpersfield I had never been in this position before I was worrying about what to do next IHAD TO DO NOTHING Lake Erie did it all they picked up my Dads body within hours before I even had a chance to go up and talk with them and choose how or if I wanted to have a service for my dad I chose to have a celebration of life for him. Once again I was worried about what to do and how to do it and what to but I was going crazy. The gentleman took me into a beautiful room which had a place to put my dads cremations beautiful flowers chairs everything they even offered catering which I didn’t need because of the fact that after my dad passed I started making cookies and brownies for a few days which they had an area to place the them for the service. I was also able to decorate the area were my dads ashes were displayed (In a beautiful carved wood box) which I bought from them. They were able to get a flag from the VA which was presented to my brother he is the youngest of 4 however he served in the U.S.M.C just as our dad had Beginning to end Lake Erie Crematory made what I had always envisioned as complicated a beautiful thing. So when I die I may not go to heaven but I’m sure to go to Lake Erie Crematory and that might.be as close as I’ll get. This Is why I give them a 5 star rating

These wonderful people honestly care, they help you, they listen to you, they support you, in every way. At the hardest time of your life, this beautiful family, is not after your money, they are not trying to take advantage, of your grief. The facility itself is bright and sunny and beautiful. Not dark and dismal and "funeral home," morbid. It's a perfect representation of the wonderful people that own it. They saw to it; that I did not have to wait long to bring my boys ashes home. In January of 2022 when I lost Buck, his ashes were actually delivered to my home in less than 3 days. Most recently, when I lost Dexter, his ashes were ready to come home in 2 days. I am so appreciative to the staff here.

We used their services when my mom passed away a couple of months ago. From the moment they walked into the house at 1:30am to get her until even today. The care, compassion and respect were far above our expectations. They bent over backwards to make sure this was as painless as possible for us. The funeral home itself was bright and airy, not depressing at all. We didn't want the usual depressing funeral music played. We were told to text a playlist with about 10 songs on it, they would loop it. Not only did they use our playlist, but they added to it with the same type of music. (My mom liked music by credence, Janis Joplin, etc). In your time of sorrow, I highly recommend their services. We really appreciated everything they did for us.

Jeff and Danielle were extremely compassionate and helpful while working with our family during our time of grief with the loss of our mother. We appreciated all they did for us. To this day, they continue to reach out to check on us and offer their help if the need arises.

Jeff went above and beyond with our family after the tragic death of our beloved father. He could not have been more professional, caring, and helpful. We chose to have our father cremated and held the service at his church. When you’re grieving and in shock, having a compassionate professional is a tremendous blessing. In July of this year my father passed away. Danielle helped me with the arrangements her kindness and compassion was so appreciated at such an emotional time. Her and Jeff went above and beyond what was expected of them. My mother was having a hard time dealing with my fathers passing. She called Danielle and again went above and beyond and was so understanding with my mother. Then fifty days later my dear mother passed away. With our broken hearts Jeff and Danielle were there again to help us. I cannot express how amazing these two people are. I am so grateful for everything they did for our family.

We recently lost both of my grandparents 50 days apart. One was expected and the other was not. Jeff, Danielle, and their staff made the daunting task of arranging services, writing obituaries, choosing memorial cards, and making sure all of the final pieces were in place much less stressful. It's hard to put into words the feeling it gives you to know someone genuinely cares and wants to help in your time of sorrow. We had a private funeral and home burial for my Grandma. There are absolutely not enough words to explain how amazing Jeff and Danielle are. Unfortunately losing 2 sisters within 2 months is not what we planned but they made it so easy. They took care of absolutely everything from the very initial phone call to the final minutes. Their professionalism is beyond amazing and their connections with my whole family couldn’t have been any better. No matter what time of day it was they were ALWAYS available to answer all of my questions and never left us waiting. Their building is beautiful and simple- exactly what we wanted. Danielle also created a video that played during the service- there wasn’t dry eye in the building it was absolutely perfect. A few months ago, my husband and I had to help our 16 year old Aussie, Daisy, cross over the Rainbow Bridge. We wanted to have her cremated, and we chose the services of Lake Erie Cremation. I liked that the service was done locally. Jeff even delivered Daisy's ashes to our home the next day. They even took the time to include her paw print and a name plate on the container, as well as, a lock of her fur inside. Danielle and Jeff were extremely accommodating and sympathetic during this difficult time.

I cannot rate Danielle and Jeff at Lake Erie Cremation & Funeral Service high enough for the outstanding customer service they delivered to me through a very difficult time. They are accommodating and compassionate in everything they do and this is in addition to the great value they offer for the price. The basic cremation package I received for my pet was not only less expensive than every other option I could find within a 25 mile radius it also included extra benefits only found within optional packages from other providers which were at an additional cost to their already more expensive service. To top all of this off, they dropped the ashes off to me at my home over 20 miles away since they happened to be in the area that day. Although, I hope I do not see them again anytime soon, I know where I will be going should I lose another furry friend.

I definitely recommend this business. Jeff came to our home in Conneaut on Sunday afternoon of Christmas weekend within an hour of me calling to say that we had lost our Brownie girl. He was very kind and caring throughout the process of us talking about our dog and preparing to take her. He made sure we had time to say goodbye and did not rush us. Danielle called a few days later to say they would be out and about and would be able to drop off Brownie's ashes to us. They made a difficult situation much easier for us. We thank them for their kindness and support their business.

We had our bird cremated by Jeff, he was so polite and caring, he sat with us and got our story about our pretty bird, my son has autism and was asking so many questions and Jeff was so great in answering them for him to understand. My wife and I were heart broken when we lost our little dog. We contacted Lake Erie to ask about our options. Danielle was so professional, understanding our pain. I was so pleased to find they would come and get him, cremate him. To our surprise they were able to offer to bring us back his ash's the very same day. I do not think this would be a normal part of their service but because we were so close to their home they offered. It turned out our little guy was back home the same day which meant the world to us. I wish I could give them ten stars, they deserve it!

The owners were extremely respectful and kind with the death and cremation of our canine Kelsey. They view pets with the same importance as human family members which was very important to my family. I did not feel taken advantage of with the pricing of the cremation as they are beyond fair with their pricing, as I called around to numerous facilities, and this is the only location I will ever use for future pet passings. I think it is wonderful what they do in their community and I believe it is important to support businesses that help their community.

Our cat of 20 years was nearing death and I decided to have her cremated. She meant the world to me and I was hoping she would pass in her sleep. She became so weak and stopped eating so I knew it was time to call our vet to schedule an appointment to have her put to sleep. They couldn’t get us in until the afternoon so I called Lake Erie Cremation to inquire about their business hours. I talked to Danielle who said they would wait for us no matter how long it took and not to worry. That afternoon I brought Hannah to Lake Erie Cremation and Danielle explained the whole procedure to us in a very compassionate and caring manner. The very next day we picked up Hannah’s ashes in an urn with her paw print and piece of her fur. I can’t empathize enough on how affordable and wonderful Danielle and her husband treated us and I would and have recommended others to their business.

Jeff and Danielle were amazing to work with when we lost our German Shepherd, Mo. When we inquired about their services the Facebook Messenger, we got an immediate response and the communication thereafter was very prompt and helpful. They came right to our house to pick her up, and actually delivered her ashes to our home the very next day. Lake Erie Cremation & Funeral Home was there for me at a difficult time when my cat passed away. I was trying to find a funeral home that cremated pets by themselves because I only wanted my cats ashes. After asking for recommendations on Facebook several friends told me to contact this place. I called them after hours on a Sunday night around 8pm the day before my cat was scheduled to be euthanized and spoke with Danielle. She answered my call immediately even though they were closed. She answered every question for me and she didn’t rush me off the phone even though it was her off time. My cat was scheduled to be euthanized the next day after their business hours however Danielle offered to meet me at the funeral home after they were closed and for me to call when I was on my way there. When my dad and I arrived Danielle was so kind, very sweet and nice to us, she didn’t rush me to make up my mind and said to take as long as I needed. She went over the options for Nemo’s cremation and assured me it would only be his ashes since they cremate all pets by themselves. After Nemo was cremated (which only took a day) Danielle texted me and offered to meet me in Mentor (where I live) to drop off the ashes or I could come pick him up either during their normal business hours or outside business hours if needed. My niece and nephew wanted to go with my parents to pick up Nemo for me. They gave me a very cute pet urn with paw prints on it. It came with an engraved plaque with Nemo’s name and date of death on it and his actual paw print with a sealant coating so it doesn’t wear off. Their prices are very reasonable and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to cremate a pet.

I would recommend them to anyone. Also, when I checked the mail today they had sent an ornament with a photo of my mom in it. I had to fight back tears when I saw it. Thank you, Jeff and Danielle. You made a very difficult time a little easier.

Lake Erie cremation& funeral services are wonderful. When my father past it was hard and I was not looking forward to doing all these things that need to be done during this time. But Lake Erie cremation& funeral services went above and beyond. these guys took care of everything from getting my dads service papers to taking care of the obituary. And did it in a very professional way. They kept in touch and explained everything to us. everything they could to for my family to make this time easier they did. They even kept in touch after, just to make sure everyone was doing ok. And we all are very appreciative of it. I would recommend this place to anyone.

My husband passed away from home in Ohio. The Coroner gave a list of Funeral Homes in the area. I chose Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services and I'm so glad I did. From the very first phone call I was treated with so much compassion and respect. I spoke to several staff members over the course of several phone calls and each one treated me with patience, respect and kindness. They answered all of my questions and took care of everything. I received a phone call and a card from them afterward, checking up me and my family's well being. I highly recommend them, they don't just do a job, they truly care about the families they serve!!
